Without them the sync still runs on demand, but not unattended.\n\n---\n\n## Install\n\n```bash\nyarn mercato module add @northbound-run/sync-shopify --allow-third-party\nyarn db:migrate\n```\n\n`module add` registers the module in `src/modules.ts` and runs `mercato generate`. `db:migrate`\napplies the single migration this package ships (the inventory snapshot table).\n\nThe package declares `@open-mercato/core` / `@open-mercato/shared` as **peer dependencies** —\nyour app provides them. This matters: the Data Sync adapter registry is process-global, so a\nsecond, nested copy of core installed under this package would leave the adapters invisible\nto queue workers.\n\nThe `--allow-third-party` flag is required because the package is not under the `@open-mercato`\nscope — it is a supply-chain opt-in, nothing more.\n\n---\n\n## Connect a Shopify store\n\nThis module authenticates with Shopify's **client credentials grant**: your app exchanges its own\nclient ID and secret for a short-lived access token, with no browser redirect and no user login. It\nis the grant Shopify intends for a server-to-server integration against a store you control, which is\nexactly the self-hosted case here.\n\n> **Why no access token to paste?** Newer Shopify apps do not expose a permanent Admin API token in\n> the UI — only a **client ID** and **client secret** (the value beginning `shpss_`). The module\n> mints and refreshes a 24-hour token from those automatically; you never handle the token yourself.\n\n### 1. Create the app\n\n1. In the [Shopify Dev Dashboard](https://dev.shopify.com/dashboard), create an app.\n2. Configure its **Admin API access scopes** (see below).\n3. **Install the app on the store.** The client credentials grant only works for a store the app is\n   installed in.\n4. From the app's **Settings → API credentials**, copy the **Client ID** and **Client secret**.\n\n### 2.
