# Akeneo Product Sync
Imports categories, product attributes and products from Akeneo PIM into the catalog, on demand or on a schedule.
Use when product data is mastered in Akeneo PIM and the app catalog must follow it.
When not to use it: Import only: changes made in Open Mercato do not go back to Akeneo.
